Fred Stein taking photographs of Notre Dame cathedral in 1937

A fantastic image of Fred Stein working and showing how photography used to be. The things we would do for our art!
Fred Stein was a photographer born in Germany who was forced to flee Germany for Paris in the early 1930s. This photo was taken in 1937 and is of Fred photographing Notre Dame Cathederal. Fred Stein sadly died on 27 September 1967.

I can’t quite imagine doing it this way now!
